our commitment to sustainability

The choices we make every day are directly linked to the health of the planet we live on. As a global brand, we're acutely aware of the impact that our actions can have on the environment, which is why we launched and are committed to our ambitious new initiative, "Healthy Skin, Healthy Planet".

recyclable packaging

Metal springs are a hidden secret inside most pumps, rendering them non-recyclable. Dermalogica's new cleanser packaging uses a single-material recyclable pump and a bottle made with 50% recycled plastic, significantly reducing waste.

more sustainable dropper

Made with 75% recycled material, the Breakout Clearing Booster dropper is proof of our commitment to a more sustainable environment.

airless tube system

The upgraded PoreScreen Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40 and PowerBright Dark Spot Peel use a first-to-market mono-material airless tube system.

more sustainable ingredients

We have replaced a key ingredient (Butylene Glycol) in 77 formulas with a plant-based alternative that has a 50% lower global warming potential, using 46% less non-renewable energy than petroleum-based production.

by 2025, Dermalogica will meet or exceed the following sustainability goals:

- 90% of our ingredients will be sustainably sourced*

- 100% of our tubes, bottles and cartons will be designed to be reusable, recyclable and/or compostable

- The majority of the plastic in our packaging will come from recycled or plant-based materials**

- We will work primarily with suppliers who track and manage their carbon emissions***

Our sister brand Clear Start will also meet or exceed the goals of the 'Healthy Skin, Healthy Planet' initiative by 2025.
